Privacy notice
Issued under Mexico’s Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), published on 20 March 2025 and in force since 21 March 2025. This is the published version of the privacy notice attached to our property-management agreement as Schedule C, and it prevails over any earlier version.
Last updated: 31 August 2026 · Applies to movemyproperty.com and to our management, operation and marketing of properties.
01Who is responsible for your data
Move My Property, operating through its holder José Bryan Luévano Jácquez, an individual under the laws of Mexico trading under the commercial name Move My Property, is the party responsible (Responsable) for the personal data collected, used, stored or processed in connection with the administration, operation and marketing of properties for vacation, short-, medium- and long-term rental.

02Whose data this covers
This notice applies to three groups of people:
- Property owners who sign or consider signing a management agreement with us.
- Guests who book, stay in or enquire about a property we operate — whether directly or through a booking platform.
- Suppliers and collaborators who provide services to the properties we manage.
03What we collect
Depending on your relationship with us, we may collect:
- Identification data
- Full name, official identification, signature, nationality, and — for guests — the details each booking requires: full name of each occupant, ages, address, and entry and exit dates.
- Contact data
- Email address, telephone number and postal address.
- Financial and asset data
- Bank details for disbursements, tax information and income information. Collected from owners and suppliers; we do not collect guests' card numbers, which are handled by the booking platform or payment processor.
- Property data
- Title documents, inventories, and operational and administrative information about the property.
- Communications
- Messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or the booking platforms, and our replies.
We do not collect sensitive personal data, and we ask you not to send it to us.
Video surveillance
Some of the properties we operate have cameras. Where they exist, they cover common areas and entrances only — never the inside of bedrooms or bathrooms — and the property carries a visible notice saying so. Recordings are kept only as long as the security purpose requires and are shared with an authority only where the law obliges us. Where a municipal programme requires cameras to be linked to a public monitoring centre, that link is limited to what the programme requires and does not give the authority access to anything else we hold.
If you are an owner and you have installed a recording device at a property we operate, tell us. We need to know it exists in order to disclose it properly to guests — an undeclared camera is a problem for both of us.
04Why we use it
Primary purposes — necessary for the relationship
- To enter into and perform the management agreement.
- To administer, operate and market the property on booking platforms.
- To manage bookings, guests and stays.
- To administer collections, disbursements, compensation and operating expenses.
- To produce management reports and financial statements.
- To comply with legal, tax and contractual obligations.
- To communicate with you about your booking, your property or your service.
Secondary purposes — you can refuse these
- Internal performance analysis.
- Improving our processes and services.
- Sending you information we think is relevant, including offers and news.
If you do not want your data used for the secondary purposes, write to info@movemyproperty.com saying so. Refusing them does not affect your booking, your contract or the service you receive.
05Who we share it with
We transfer personal data, without requiring your additional consent, to:
- Booking platforms — Airbnb, Booking, Vrbo and others — so a booking can be made, paid and operated.
- Operational suppliers — cleaning, maintenance, transport, chefs, tour operators and other technical or concierge services — limited to what each supplier needs to deliver the service you asked for.
- Competent authorities, where the law requires it.
- Accounting and tax professionals engaged to comply with our tax obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
06Your ARCO rights
You have the right to Access your personal data, to have it Rectified when it is inaccurate or incomplete, to have it Cancelled when you believe it is not being used in accordance with applicable principles and duties, and to Object to its use for specific purposes. You may also revoke a consent you previously gave, and limit its use or disclosure.
To exercise any of these, write to info@movemyproperty.com including:
- Your name and a channel where we can reply to you.
- Documents proving your identity, or the identity and authority of anyone acting on your behalf.
- A clear description of the personal data concerned, and the specific right you are exercising or the concrete request you are making — the law requires this to be stated.
- Any element that helps us locate the data.
We will reply within the periods established by law. There is no charge for making a request; if you ask for the same information again within twelve months, reasonable reproduction or delivery costs may apply.
Some data cannot be deleted while a legal or tax obligation requires us to keep it — for example, records supporting invoices and tax filings. Where that applies, we will tell you which data and why.
Limiting the use or disclosure of your data
Separately from ARCO, you can ask us to stop using your data for anything that is not strictly necessary — marketing messages, for example — while keeping the relationship itself intact. Send that request to the same address. We keep an internal list of people who have asked for this and check it before any communication that is not about your own booking, property or service.
07How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as the relationship lasts. After it ends we keep only what a legal obligation requires us to keep — principally the records that support invoices, tax filings and accounting, which Mexican tax and commercial law require us to retain for up to five years, and in the case of accounting books for longer where the law so provides.
Enquiries that never become a booking or a contract are deleted within twelve months. Once a retention period ends, the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
08Electronic communication
You acknowledge that communications sent by email, instant messaging (including WhatsApp) or other electronic means constitute valid notice and consent, provided there is evidence that they were sent or received.
09This website
This site is a static website. It does not use advertising cookies, does not run third-party analytics or tracking pixels, and has no forms — every enquiry starts as a message you choose to send us on WhatsApp or by email.
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google may log your IP address as part of serving that request. Links to our booking platforms, Instagram and the demo dashboards take you to third-party sites with their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
If we later add analytics, a booking engine or a contact form, we will update this section and the date at the top of the page before that goes live.
10Security
We apply administrative, technical and physical measures reasonably intended to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Access to our management system is personal, non-transferable and limited to what each person needs.
11Changes to this notice
We may amend this privacy notice to reflect legal changes, changes to our services or changes in how we handle data. Amendments are published on this page and, where the relationship requires it, notified to you by electronic means. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
12Complaints
If you believe your right to data protection has been infringed, or you are not satisfied with how we answered an ARCO request, you may file a complaint with the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, which took over data-protection matters for the private sector after INAI was dissolved and exercises them through its specialised general directorate.
You do not have to come to us first, but we would rather you did — write to info@movemyproperty.com and we will try to fix it.
13Consent
By using this website, contacting us, making a booking or signing a management agreement with us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this notice and consent to the processing of your personal data for the primary purposes described in it.
