The place
This is a comfortable, well-equipped apartment in a good part of town — not a luxury villa, and we'd rather say so up front. What it does well, it does genuinely well.
The location is the main thing. You are in downtown Playa del Carmen, which means you can walk to dinner and ride to the beach in eight minutes on the two bicycles that come with the apartment at no extra cost. Quinta Avenida is on the way there. Most guests never move the car.
Inside: two bedrooms with three beds, two full bathrooms, air conditioning in three rooms, tinted windows that actually keep the afternoon out, three smart TVs and a properly equipped kitchen. The building has a pool, a jacuzzi, a grill, a garden, an elevator and parking watched around the clock.
Getting around
Mobility is where this apartment earns its keep, so we made it the offer rather than an add-on.

Worth knowing before you book
- There is no washing machine in the apartment. There's a laundry across the street that does same-day service. We mention it because a week-long stay usually needs one.
- This is a downtown apartment in a working neighbourhood, not a resort. It's lively, which is mostly the point.
- Six guests is the real limit — three beds across two bedrooms.
- Security deposit: $3,000 MXN, held before arrival and returned after check-out.
- The SUV is rented separately from the apartment, subject to availability. Ask when you write.
